Or perhaps you’d like to share your vows on our very own covered timber deck overlooking the scenic lake, which still provides the perfect undercover option for your ceremony or a wet weather alternative to a garden wedding. Plan the wedding of your dreams

Here at Botanical we can help design and plan your wedding to make your imagination a reality. It can be as elaborate or as intimate as you choose, from a formal banquet wedding reception to a small informal gathering or a cocktail celebration. We can to cater to groups of 10 to 600 people, so there’s room for all of the extended family and friends. Our specially designed menu is sure to have something for everyone! We can provide entire three course feasts, canapés, buffets, beverage packages and lolly bars.

The surrounding Botanic gardens provide spectacular photographic opportunities, and a short trip up to Mount Coot-tha lookout will give you the opportunity for some beautiful scenic sunset or night shots. We can also recommend a trusted network of local businesses and suppliers to deliver everything else for your special day, from invitations and florists to photographers and reception entertainment.

The function rooms

Botanical isn’t just the best Wedding venue in Brisbane because of its location, but because we also have a number of stylish function rooms for every type of wedding. From our classy Ivy Room to the gorgeous outdoor deck we have the space and the style to make your dream wedding a reality.

The Ivy Room: The Ivy Room is a stylish, elegant function room that will give your event the perfect touch of class and exclusivity. The room comes with a stage, dance floor, PA and projector and is located on the right side of the venue. The Ivy Room can hold up to 90 seated guests or 120 standing, and can be tastefully reserved to keep your function private to only your guests.  

The Lily Room: The Lily Room is the main function room located right in the centre of the venue, and is great for a more informal wedding or event. It holds a beautiful modern marble bar which makes it ideal for cocktail celebrations and seated dinner events. The Lily Room has a more relaxed, comfortable atmosphere and can hold up to 70 seated guests or 100 standing.

Ivy & Lily Rooms: For larger weddings the walls of the Ivy and Lily Rooms can be folded away to bring the two rooms together and make them into one large open space, centred around the large and stylish marble bar. It includes the stage, dance floor, PA and projector from The Ivy Room and is the perfect function room if you have a lot of guests or just want a bit more space. This room can hold up to 200 seated guests or 300 standing.

The Deck: The Deck is a unique and beautiful indoor/outdoor space to hold your wedding. It incorporates the outdoor gardens in a magnificent, fully-covered room that is great for any weather. This room will let your guests enjoy the surrounding gardens while still basking in the comfort of the indoors, and can hold up to 150 seated guests or 300 standing.

Entire venue: For very large weddings the entire venue can be opened up and combined into one giant event space, complete with all the features of each individual function room – the stunning marble bar, dance floor, PA, data projector, deck and stage. Able to hold up to 400 seated guests or 600 standing, the entire venue is perfect for any wedding that wants it all.

 

Our ceremony packages

All our wedding ceremonies are held on either Deck 1, or the combined Deck 1 and 2 together, depending on the number of guests you have. Inclusions will vary according to the ceremony you choose.

Standard Ceremony: The Standard Ceremony includes room hire for 2 hours, white or black leather chairs for your guests, a clothed registry table, a PA system and microphone, and ceiling fairy lights.

Gold Ceremony: The Gold Ceremony includes room hire for 2 hours, white or black leather chairs for your guests, a clothed registry table, a PA system and microphone, ceiling fairy lights and your choice of backdrop, carpeted aisle colour, aisle petal colour and aisle sash colour.

Diamond Ceremony: The Diamond Ceremony includes room hire for 2 hours, white or black leather chairs for your guests, a clothed registry table, a PA system and microphone, ceiling fairy lights and your choice of backdrop, aisle decoration, carpeted aisle colour, aisle petal colour and aisle sash colour.

Platinum Ceremony: The Platinum Ceremony includes room hire for 2 hours, white or black leather chairs for your guests, a clothed registry table, a PA system and microphone, ceiling fairy lights and your choice of ceiling decoration, backdrop, aisle decoration, carpeted aisle colour, aisle petal colour and aisle sash colour.

Reception themes

We can provide a range of different reception themes to suit your individual tastes and preferences, including an Assorted Floral theme, a Crystal theme, a Juliette theme, a Rustic Candle theme, a Birdcage theme and many more. Reception packages

All our wedding reception packages come with a number of standard inclusions and services including:

  • A dedicated wedding coordinator

  • Your choice of table theming and styling

  • Table linen, napery and all cutlery and settings

  • Your choice of white or black contemporary leather chairs

  • Tea lights for all tables

  • Fairy lights on the deck

  • Two printed menus per table

  • A Wishing Well

  • A rustic easel to display your seating chart

  • An in-house PA system with iPod connectivity

  • A lectern and microphone for speeches

We have four basic reception packages to choose from, with the option to add on children’s and teenager’s meals. Packages can be tailored to suit your individual requirements – contact us to discuss your options further.

Canapé Package: The Canapé Package includes a 4 hour beverage package, exclusive use of the venue with a 4 hour room hire, and your choice of table theming and styling. The Premium Canapé selections include a range of cold and hot canapés for you to choose from, as well as selection of deluxe canapés and fork dishes.

Set Menu Package: The Set Menu Package includes the chef’s selection of canapés on arrival, a 4 hour beverage package, exclusive use of the venue with a 6 hour room hire, and your choice of table theming and styling. The selection of dishes includes two different entrées, mains and desserts for you to choose for your guests.

Plated Package: The Plated Package includes the chef’s selection of canapés on arrival, a 4 hour beverage package, exclusive use of the venue with a 6 hour room hire, and your choice of table theming and styling. The package can include a 2 course meal of a main and dessert, or a 3 course meal of an entrée, main and dessert.

Buffet Package: The Buffet Package includes the chef’s selection of canapés on arrival, a 4 hour beverage package, exclusive use of the venue with a 6 hour room hire, and your choice of table theming and styling. The buffet menu includes a selection of breads, seasonal vegetables and a choice of salads, hot dishes and desserts. There is also an optional seafood upgrade.

 

Beverage Packages

Our beverage packages can be tailored to suit your individual requirements, or upgraded to include premium or international beer and fine wine options. Contact us to discuss your options further.

Premium beverage package: The premium beverage package includes 4 hours of unlimited drinks. Included drinks are a selection of domestic beer and wine, assorted juice and soft drinks, and freshly brewed tea and coffee.

Deluxe beverage package: The deluxe beverage package can include 3, 4 or 5 hours of unlimited drinks. Included drinks are a selection of domestic and premium beer and wine, assorted juice and soft drinks, and freshly brewed tea and coffee.

Alternative beverage arrangements can also be organised such as a cash bar where guests are invited to pay for their own drinks, a bar tab allocation where you choose your own list of available bar items for your guests and you only pay for what they consume, or a spirits and premium wine package where your guests will be offered the choice of a spirit or premium wine.
